General
Recommendations:
-
The
storage are must be flat. The ground must be marshy or unstable and,
it must not contain any corrosive material.
-
On
the arrival in storage are the goods must be inspected and, if there
is any damage (degradation of the internal or external coating), it
must be repaired before going in stock.
-
The
pipes must be stocked in the respective stakes, according to
diameter in accordance with a logical stock plan. The same is
applied for fittings and accessories.
-
It
is always desirable to keep time stock to a minimum, if only to
protect coating form the effects of weathering and prolonged
exposure to the sun.
-
Use
appropriately shaped hooks covered with special protection of
plastic material or rubber, which will not cause any damage to the
internal coating of the pipes. (See fig.1)

Wooden
spacers (timbers, wedges, etc) must be strong enough and of good
quality.
-
Precautions
must be taken when the pipes have special coating.

STORAGE
OF GASKETS
As
Stated in ISO 4633 and 2230 that:
-
Storage
Temperature should be below 250 and preferably below 150C.
-
Elastomer
rubber should be protected from light. In particular, direct sun
light and strong artificial light with a high ultraviolet content.
-
As
ozone is particularly deleterious, storage room should not contain
any equipment, electric motors or other equipments which may give
rise to electric sparks or silent electrical discharge.
-
Elastomer
rubber should wherever, possible be stored in a normal position on
that is free from tension, compression and other deformation.
